February 07 RanchBoss Cortez - Supreme Stallion of the Show! February was the beginning of an exciting Show season for us. RanchBoss Cortez excelled himself yet again!! Clifton Show On 18 February, RanchBoss Cortez, after winning Champion Morgan over a stunning group of pure Morgans including 4 stallions, 2 mares and 4 geldings, won the prestigious award of Supreme Stallion of the Show!
RanchBoss Cortez - Supreme Stallion Haymeron Park Ruby Jane Our lovely 3 yr old mare, Haymeron Park Ruby Jane, after winning her pure Morgan mare class, brought home the Reserve Champion Morgan Sash. This was RJ's very first outing and she behaved as if she had done it twenty times over.
Haymeron Park Ruby Jane - Reserve Champion Pure Morgan Mt Tawonga Oscar My wonderful riding gelding, Mt Tawonga Oscar, also did us proud by gaining 1st place in the pure Gelding Class. Oscar had excelled himself just two weeks earlier at the Allora Show Dressage by achieving 1st place with a score of 75% in the Preliminary class. His nearest competitor was on 66.2%. Oscar began his Dressage career just last year with a Preparatory Test and he is now training at Elementary level.
Mt Tawonga Oscar - 1st Pure Morgan Gelding Cooyar Show - RanchBoss Cortez - Champion Pure Morgan & Reserve Champion Colourama Wilga Park were in luck yet again on 24 February, at Cooyar Show. RanchBoss Cortez scooped up Reserve Champion in the Colourama Classes and again, against that superb line-up of pure Morgans brought home Champion Morgan Stallion. RanchBoss Cortez - Champion Pure Morgan & Reserve Champion Colourama Our Pure Geldings Mt Tawonga Nepean and Mt Tawonga Oscar each sported the Champion Gelding and Reserve Champion Gelding Sashes at Cooyar Show. We were very fortunate to have Krystal, a Canadian girl who owns and shows Morgans back home in Canada, lead and ride Nepean at the Cooyar show for us - with excellent results. Thanks Krystal!
