Rocky has been sold to an excellent little rider, 10 year old Laura Miranda. Laura and her family will be moving to Brisbane in January 2013. Rocky and Laura are perfectly suited in personality ... they both are full of exuberance for life and like to get out and just 'do stuff'. I can see Rocky and Laura having a great future together and possibly doing cross country together. They are very stylish in the Dressage arena as well.
Rocky is a seven year old son of Karenza Apollo and Mt Tawonga Ellie - born September 2004. We purchased Rocky as a three year old green broke horse as a 'Beginner' pony for youngsters. Rocky has the laid back nature suited to a beginner rider, but his paces are way too forward for a newcomer to riding.
Rocky is more suited to the confident child or small adult who will enjoy his enthusiasm. Rocky is confident out on the trail on his own and also loves to do a bit of jumping. Rocky is suitable for Pony Dressage as well. He really thinks he's a big horse, I'm sure.
Rocky would have a ton of fun at Pony Club or doing Endurance ... he has a love of life that is infectious when you are on his back.
Rocky has recently been to a Dressage competition with Megan, who has borrowed Rocky as her riding companion until the time he finds his new owner. Rocky came 2nd, 3rd and 5th in his three tests on the day, against some really good, big horses. Megan was very, very proud of him.
NewsFlash!! Rocky and Megan won both Senior Prep and Senior Prelim Championship Rugs at the Allora Championships held recently. Rocky, with Megan on board, was also awarded Supreme Champion Ridden Morgan at the Australian National Morgan Horse Show held in Toowoomba in 2012.

Some photos of Rocky and his young rider, Chelsea, who took him to the Toowoomba Royal in 2011 and the Australian National Morgan Show in 2011 and had a heap of fun. Rocky had never seen a set of jump wings in his life before ... Jumping shots first and then fun shots below.
