January 2009 Wilga Park goes International!! Golden Glory, buckskin filly and Jalapeno, the palomino colt are growing beautifully ... Our 2009 crop of foals have been conceived! Wilga Park Serjania and Wilga Park Tippuhana maturing into quality horses. Wilga Park is so very pleased to be able to offer frozen semen from RanchBoss Cortez to the USA and Canada. We now have sole ownership of frozen semen collected prior to Cortez being exported from California, and stored at Select Breeders, Pioneer Equine Hospital in California, USA. We will be only too happy to provide this excellent quality stallion to astute Morgan breeders. There is no fear of CEM issues with this semen as it was collected in 2005, well before any outbreak in the States. Cortez is highly valued and sought after for his Foundation status and Working Western bloodlines. Click here for Cortez's Pedigree Wilga Park Golden Glory was born a horse, but one could be forgiven for thinking she was a puppy dog. Glory trots up to the fence, nickering, when we drive past the paddock. She is so irrisistable, we always stop to give her a scratch. I'm sure she even wags her tail as she closes her eyes to enjoy the attention. This filly's personality is just adorable and even grown men melt when she gives them the 'Glory' treatment. Glory certainly has inherited her Sire and Dam's best attributes. She is a laid back, 'thinking' horse, with a huge dose of intelligence and masses of ability. One we are very proud to have bred, indeed. ![]() Golden Glory - 4 weeks old Wilga Park Jalapeno is also growing beautifully and, as yet, hasn't lost his stunning looks and colour. His peronality is not quite as forward as Glory. He tends to ask for his scratches, where Glory just expects them! Jal will be taller than Glory, but at this stage they are well matched in their foal games together. Jal does the colt thing and rears up to put his front feet on Glory and attempts to take a nibble of any bits he can reach; she, in turn, uses her innate cow sense and simply pushes back at him with her shoulder or her hip. Their antics are such fun to watch ... and they are such time wasters!

Wilga Park Jalapeno - 3 weeks old, enjoying the attention from family and friends
Wilga Park Serjania is still growing at a great rate. At 13 months of age he has already reached a comfortable 14'1hh. Serjania (aka Jack) also granted me an excellent photo opportunity recently after I'd given him one of his first baths. Jack was happily tied to the rail with Oscar and Rocky (his first real experience in the lesson of patience at the rail ... and he passed with flying colours) when I decided to go get the camera. We went into the arena together, and I'm not sure who was doing the most work ... me or Jack. I think I was the one doing more running trying to get Jack to become a little animated for the photo shoot.
Wilga Park Serjania - Jack - 13 months old Wilga Park Tippuhana is also growing into a beautiful mare. Her movement is pure joy to watch in the arena. Tip has certainly inherited her Dam (Mt Tawonga Marrella) and her Sire's (Mt Tawonga Tarraji) floating trot.
Wilga Park Tippuhana - 3 years Mt Tawonga Marrella's expected foal has been sex tested and the first foal of the 2009 season will be a colt. Haymeron Park Ruby Jane, Red Bluff Paprika and Mt Tawonga Natasha are also in foal to RanchBoss Cortez and their foals will be sex tested throughout the month of February. We have such faith in the quality of our mares and our magnificent stallion, that we can confidently say that these babies will have awesome ability and fantastic temperaments. Eaglieview Skybeau has been inseminated with the Ragtime Oro Blanco semen. We are still playing the waiting game to see if she is in foal. The first foal, Jalapeno, from this cross is so stunning, we hope to do it again.
