RanchBoss Cortez trys his style at Jumping.

Gill from Shibui Morgan Stud purchases Wilga Park Chambourcin.

Indigo Roc The Boat (Rocky), pure Morgan gelding, to join Wilga Park's Riding School.

RanchBoss Cortez has shown us his style at jumping, and he is impressive. Imke Quast asked him to perform for footage for the Horse Deals DVD and he did not let her down. He is an amazing stallion ... so willing to do whatever his rider asks. He had never seen a jump before which made it an even more gratifying experience to watch the pair as they performed in the arena. I was not quick enough to obtain photos of Imke and Cortez trying their wings at jumping, but I did manage to catch them doing their Dressage moves.

Wilga Park Chambourcin has won the heart of Gillian who is currently searching for her future brood mares of Shibui Morgan Stud in Victoria. We are very proud that our beautiful filly has been chosen for this honour. Of course, it is some time off yet as Chambourcin is just 6 months old, but she will be started prior to becoming a brood mare and she will produce stunning Morgans for Gill.

Gill and Bruce visited briefly at the end of June to inspect young Chambourcin, and we are very comfortable that our Wilga Park baby will be in the best possible hands.

Gillian and Chambourcin meeting for the first time.

Indigo Roc The Boat, pure Morgan gelding, will soon become a Queenslander. Rocky has lived at The Rock in NSW all his life with Ann & Colin. Now, as an almost 4 year old, just 14'1hh, he is to join our small team of geldings who allow all and sundry to have the very pleasurable experience of riding a 'no-nonsense' horse. Rocky will excel in providing hours of joy to kids who wish to learn to care for, and ride, a horse.

We, strangely enough, wanted only pure Morgans in our paddocks, but also knew that we would need a pony to suit the smaller children who will come for lessons, when our Riding School is fully established. Of course, to be a Teacher in our Riding School, the pony had to have the temperment to suit young, wriggling, sometimes inattentive and sometimes nervous children. He also needed to have a very gentle nature and the un-flappable intelligence to take care of his rider in every situation.

In finding Rocky, we feel we have found the perfect match ... that little pure Morgan who has all the compulsory attributes.

Rocky is sired by Karenza Apollo, who also sired our very own Haymeron Park Ruby Jane.

Rocky has arrived and I am tremendously pleased with his brave, confident personality. He has a sunny, happy nature that is very endearing.

Our other two geldings, Mt Tawonga Nepean and Mt Tawonga Oscar, will be happy to share the role of giving the little kids fun rides when they visit.
