Morgans go to Noosa North Shore ....

Our United States Visitors have some fun ...

A buckskin filly is born in New Zealand to Ragtime Oro Blanco ...

We are still awaiting the first of our crop of six foals ... Marrella is now overdue!!

Mt Tawonga Oscar and Mt Tawonga Nepean had a holiday at the Beach recently, along with about 10 other Morgans. It was a weekend of fun rides through the bush and on the beach and then some Games in the huge sand arena at the Resort. There were three pure Morgans there that had been under saddle for no more than 6 - 8 weeks, and their absolute acceptance of all things new is a tribute to the wonderful temperament of this breed. Our very own Wilga Park Madagascar, with his owner Lisa Wong, was one of them. Jane Warren was also on Wilga Park Malaynee on her first ever Trail Ride. It was tremendous to be out riding with youngsters that we have bred and to see the wonderful relationship each has with his/her owner.

The Morgan Games were held back at the Resort - organised by Di Howard of Wirraway Morgans - and it was an afternoon of lots of laughter and competition. Those who were not mounted on horses (thinking they would sit it out and just watch the antics) were paired up with another two legged 'horse' and had to participate in every leg of the competiton! What a Hoot!! Tim Wong, Lisa's husband, was Greg's 'horse', and a very good horse he was! He had rhythm, balance, was spirited, but exceptionally behaved ... always at the ready for the next move ... and he never lost his frame :-D Hilarious to watch!!!

Tim was armed with 'clappers' to make the sound of hoof beats as they both cantered down the home stretch to win their particular event! We almost fell off our horses with laughter as Greg had to struggle into a pair of pajamas (whilst Tim pawed the ground, ever ready for the canter strike off) and race back to the finish line!

We were lucky enough to meet up with Kathy and Vince from Scandia Morgans, in Oregon, USA. They extended their stay in Noosa so that they could join us for our afternoon of fun! Even Vince had to wear the PJs!! We also caught up with Laurie and Bill from Colorado!! MaryAnn from Florida was also there. The weekend had really been organised to co-incide with MaryAnn's visit to Di Howard, and the end of Laurie and Bill's (and Lo and Behold, Kathy and Vince's) Equathon! so that we could all meet up. Lots of Fun was had by all and we have decided to make in an annual event at North Shore. Some more photos of our horses having fun that weekend ...

We all had a go with the PJs ... Tam and Nepean ready to head for the finish line.

Our USA visitors spent some time playing with our Morgans at home, as well. We had the opportunity to catch up with people we had known only via e-mail and it was a fantastic week. Sandi from New South Wales joined us as well, and she gave each of our boys some lessons in jumping ... and how to 'smile' on command ....

Sandi & Rocky 'smiling' ... and Laurie doing some talented whipcracking on Oscar.

Sandi on Cortez ... and Laurie and Oscar showing they could do it as well!!

Of course, Nepean had to have a go as well ... Sandi taught him how!

MaryAnn from Florida USA, meeting RanchBoss Cortez and his daughter Golden Glory. They all love a cuddle!!

Wilga Park Serjania (JacK) is almost two years old and his owner Jan, shared this gorgeous photo of Jack with us. He is about 15hh now and Jan believes he will be ready for a little light starting in about 6 months time. I just love the beautiful calm look in Jack's eye. He is so like his sire, Cortez, but with some super lovely traits thrown in by his Dam, Eagleview Skybeau. I also love that glorious wavey mane and forlock!

Wilga Park Serjania ... 'Jack' ... almost two

Ragtime Oro Blanco (Casper) has sired a beautiful buckskin filly in New Zealand. Gumbooya Kameko was bred with our frozen semen and then she was exported to New Zealand. She has delivered a stunning foal for Peter and Bridget Cameron of Tui Morgans and we look forward to lots more photos of this little girl!! She is going to have good looks and good size. The photo below was taken when she was just hours old.

What a lovely little filly by Ragtime Oro Blanco, out of Gumbooya Kameko
