Wilga Park Mares

Eagleview Skybeau - Nov 1997- (Marvelous Encore X Mt Tawonga Bea), 14'3hh, was the first Morgan we purchased. From a three year old to now being a brood mare, she has accomplished much. Even at the age of three she was a steady, sensible trail horse suitable for a nervous, green rider.

A Beautiful story of this Marvelous Mare. Click HERE to read an amazing tribute to this wonderful mare.

She had basic training in western reining, and then was taught some dressage, jumping and has learned how to be a Stockhorse as well. She shows the true versatility of the Morgan.

Skybeau was awarded Supreme Champion at the National Morgan Show as a three month old foal and then, at the age of four, she was awarded High Point Pure Bred of the Show.

The colour genetics on this mare are Ee aa, which means she is a black horse hiding a chestnut gene. With our stallion, RanchBoss Cortez (EE Aa Crn) she can only give us black, smokey black, bay or buckskin babies. With Ragtime Oro Blanco (Ee Aa CrCr Dn) she can produce smokey black, buckskin, palomino or dunskin.

This mare can produce foals that will be superbly athletic, sensible and suitable to any discipline one desires, as she has shown potential in all arenas. Her cow sense is awesome, she is a winner in the Hack Ring and she loves to jump. She is an awesome mare.

Mt Tawonga Marrella - Feb 2001 - (Wawayanda Watch Out X Aura Dell Misty), 15hh, was purchased in foal to Mt Tawonga Tarraji and the resulting foal, Wilga Park Tippuhana, has the best attributes of both parents.

This stylish chestnut mare carries the agouti gene (ee Aa) and thus her foals with Cortez will be black, bay, buckskin or smokey black. With Ragtime Oro Blanco she will produce palomino, buckskin, dunskin or smokey black.

Marrella has a lovely ground covering and floating movement, as does Tarraji, and their 2005 foal, Wilga Park Tippuhana, has inherited that movement, along with a sensible and sweet nature that is always willing to please. Maturing at around 15'2hh, Tippuhana has huge potential as a performance horse.

Marrella's second foal, Madagascar, has also inherited these attriutes, along with his buckskin colour from his Sire, Ragtime Oro Blanco.

Marrella has not been started so we will never know her potential as a riding horse. However, we believe her foals will be testimony to her untried talents.

Red Bluff Paprika - Dec 2002 - (Taproot Messenger X Mt Tawonga Evonne), 14'2hh, has the temperament of the true Morgan.

Morgans are renowned for being a "thinking" horse, with laid-back natures and Paprika fits this description perfectly. Nothing fazes this mare. Her foals will be suitable for Trail and western disciplines.

Paprika has been shown at the National Morgan Show and locally on the Darling Downs and has won her halter classes with ease. She has also been lightly started and her movement is ideal for the western horse. She is as smooth as glass to ride.

This lovely chestnut mare carries the agouti gene (ee Aa) and thus her foals with Cortez will be black, bay, buckskin or smokey black. With Ragtime Oro Blanco she will produce palomino, buckskin, dunskin or smokey black.

Paprika has produced a handsome buckskin colt foal with RanchBoss Cortez, who also appears to fit the western mould, and she produced that same quality foal in 2008 when she had buckskin filly Golden Glory.

Haymeron Park Ruby Jane - Nov 2003 - (Karenza Apollo X Karenza Amethyst), 14'3hh, is a solid bay mare of pure Lippett bloodlines. RJ has been started and has been out to competition where she won her dressage competitions with scores in the 63% range. She has also been shown locally throughout our 2007 show season and has won the Morgan mare classes and Reserve Champion Morgan against a line-up of superb horses.

RJ's movement is free flowing and elastic. She is our one and only Foundation Morgan mare and we look forward to breeding Morgans that will also carry that illustrious title when she is bred to RanchBoss Cortez, our western working Foundation Morgan stallion.

RJ was taken on a trail ride when she was just one week under saddle. This confident, thinking mare strode out ahead of the rest. She trotted and cantered along the unfamiliar track with not one thought to react to any of the usual things a horse may want to run away from.

RJ's colour test tells us she is EE AA which means she can only ever give us bay or buckskin foals with Cortez, and bucksin or dunskin with Ragtime Oro Blanco (Casper).

This mare will produce very typey, eye-catching foals with excellent temperaments to suit any discipline.

Mt Tawonga Natasha - Oct 1999 - (Marvelous Encore X Mt Tawonga Margaret), 15'1hh, is known in EFA circles as Wilga Park Elegance, and, until 2006, was competing at Novice level dressage.

She has won Champion Morgan twice at our local show, Reserve Champion ridden pure Morgan mare at the Australian National Morgan Show and Horse of the Year at a local Dressage group. She is not unfamiliar with collecting ribbons as she manages to place in almost every competition she is in. We were very happy with her results at the Queensland State Championships in her first official season in 2005.

Natasha (known to us as Elegance) has been colour tested and is Ee Aa which means she can give us black, smokey black, bay, buckskin, dunskin or palomino foals. She will produce foals that will be performance horses with exceptional movement and temperament.
